Signature Suppers at Morrison's Cove Memorial Park
02/22/10

Morrisons Cove Memorial Park is the perfect place to spend an afternoon.  Vistitors to The Alleghenies are welcome to visit on a daypass!  The park encompasses 21 acres within the borough of Martinsburg.  It was founded in 1915 when a group attending the Brown family picnic decided the area called Snyder's Grove would be a beautiful place for a park. In 1922, the Park was incorporated and dedicated, “To commemorate the valor and heroic deeds of the brave soldiers of Morrisons Cove of all the wars in which the United States has participated, and to provide a public center for civic and moral instruction, recreation, amusement and promotion of athletic sports for all the people of  Morrisons Cove.”  The Park is a non-profit corporation that is supported by the hard work and financial generosity of the community.  Within the Park you will find a number of ways to spend your time including, a Bowling Center with a snackbar, a multipurpose gymnasium, the only skating rink in Blair County, a heated outdoor swimming pool with two waterslides and a baby pool, picnic pavilions, and campingsites.

Signature Suppers are held the 3rd Friday of each month 5pm to 7pm in the Park Banquet Hall.  The Park is located at 201 South Walnut Street in Martinsburg. The themed buffet-style dinners include soup, salad, bread, main and side dishes, dessert table and hot and cold beverage table.
